It's All About Christ

Our vision is to provide a place for young people to feel comfortable bringing their friends and introducing them to Christ. The Warehouse Ministry will first and foremost teach the youth about Jesus Christ and encourage them to receive Christ as their personal Savior and develop a personal relationship with Him. The ministry will also teach them how to apply that relationship to everyday life.

Helping Young People Discover and Use their Gifts and Talents

The Warehouse will help young people develop their gifts and skills, whether business or ministry related, through involvement in the ministry and youth-to-youth leadership with adult guidance. The Warehouse will provide opportunities for these young people to exercise their gifts and calling in ministry and business and offer direction in using these gifts toward a profession in society. This will be accomplished through hands-on participation in preaching, teaching and music ministry as well as office management, business administration, marketing, computers, audio/video, television, and grounds maintenance.  Community Service, Mission Trips and other outreach activities will be included as part of the teaching. These functions will teach youth the importance of servanthood and allow them to learn new skills as well as foster unity among their peers.

Youth-to-Youth Mentorship

Young people relate to each other and look up to older youth. This is proven by watching younger siblings follow in the footsteps of their older brother or sister. The Warehouse will utilize a core group of strongly discipled young people to minister to those younger than them. College age students will minister to high school students and high school to middle school. They will learn vital leadership skills to help them in the future.

A Cool and Fun Environment

The Warehouse Ministry will provide a youth-desired atmosphere to develop a channel to attract them and will offer a gathering place for recreational time and an enjoyable occasion with peers. The ministry will be dynamic and relevant to today's young people and culture without compromising the gospel of Christ. Prayer will also be a large part of the ministry, with 24-hour prayer teams of young people and adults. It is our hope to see The Warehouse become the desired “place to hang” for all young people. On weekends, we envision The Warehouse being the place youth go after they leave the malls and theatres.  The Warehouse Ministry will reside in a large, open warehouse approximately 9,000-15,000 square feet and will be decorated with items appealing to youth (canoes, surfboards, old cars, airplane seats, etc.). It will contain a main room with a stage area for Praise & Worship, teaching and drama as well as a recording studio. Couches, beanbags and large pillows will be used for seating. The inside area will also include a coffee shop and snack shack. The coffee shop will accommodate a small stage for acoustic concerts, open mic nights, poetry and other entertainment. The Warehouse will also have a game room with pool tables, ping-pong, foosball and other games and a computer room for workshops, homework and tutoring. A small room will also be needed for counseling and prayer. The outside of The Warehouse will have a large area for outdoor recreation such as sand volleyball, basketball, skateboarding and rollerblading.

Fostering Unity With Churches

The ministry will operate on non-traditional ministry nights (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) to capture young people during typical “off” ministry days and will also be closed on Sunday to encourage church participation with their families. This will enhance the efforts of the church and also give youth groups the opportunity to minister at The Warehouse.

Becoming A Sending Agent

We foresee The Warehouse as a national ministry, so it will be built in a way where it can be easily modeled and planted in other areas. The Warehouse will therefore be a sending agent that will mentor and groom other leaders who feel called to develop and start other Warehouse Ministries. Our goal is for each Warehouse to tithe funds into the next future Warehouse.
